Silent Steps
With Mr.Kobi

Silent Steps with Mr.Kobi is a heartfelt run dedicated to honouring our little ones who were only with us briefly yet left an imprint that lasts a lifetime. Through this year long journey we hope to create a space for their legacy to echo with love, while gently illuminating the quiet, often-unseen path of grief that bereaved families walk.

Too often their story gets lost as the world moves on.

Every
Step Has Meaning

In 2027, Shenae Co-Founder of Mr.Kobi will take on the challenge of running the Run Melbourne Half Marathon.

This journey extends beyond Run Melbourne and is designed to dive into the depths of grief with the hopes of creating a safe space for bereaved parents to share their story and their babies legacy.

Over the 12 months leading up to race day, Shenae will document her training journey while connecting with five families who unfortunately have had to weave through grief after pregnancy or infancy loss. Sadly, a journey Shenae knows all too well.

On race day, Shenae will wear a weighted vest carrying each baby’s birth weight, along with additional weight symbolising the invisible burden of grief that many bereaved parents carry every day. While we can never truly carry another family’s grief, we hope this act serves as a visible reminder that no parent should have to carry it alone.

Throughout the year we will be raising funds to support Bears of Hope and Olive & Kin who do beautiful things for families weaving through grief.

Silent Steps with Mr.Kobi is about far more than a run, It is about remembrance, creating space for their story to be shared, while creating opportunities for connection and understanding.

Most importantly, it is about ensuring that our babies, their stories and the love that surrounds them will never be forgotten.
