every meaningful connection has the power to strengthen a community.
Our story
MrKobi was founded by Shenae and Chelsea with a vision to create meaningful opportunities for children, young people and families.
As two mums, we shared a passion for creating spaces where children could build friendships, try new experiences and grow in confidence. We believed there was room to create something that reflected our values. So rather than waiting for it to exist, we decided to build it ourselves.
Right from the start, our vision was bigger than simply running activities. We wanted to strengthen our community, build lasting connections and make a positive difference wherever opportunities were needed most.
The name MrKobi comes from the first initials of our children. They were the inspiration behind this from the very beginning and continue to remind us why this journey matters so much.
Our homeschooling community has been part of MrKobi from the beginning and continues to be at the heart of much of what we do. Alongside the families who first believed in our vision, we’re grateful to work alongside local businesses, organisations and community groups to create welcoming opportunities for people across our community.
As we continue to grow, our purpose remains the same: creating opportunities that bring people together.
Why it matters most
We believe some of life’s most beautiful and meaningful moments happen when people come together.
A child discovering a new passion.
A family walking into a room and feeling welcome.
A volunteer sharing their time.
A local business choosing to support something bigger than themselves.
These are the moments that build confidence, create connection and strengthen communities. That’s what MrKobi is all about.
Growing with Purpose
MrKobi continues to grow because of the people who believe in what we’re building.
As we grow, we’ll keep creating opportunities that stay true to the vision that inspired MrKobi from the very beginning.
There’s always room for more people to be part of the story.
