Edgar’s Mission Sanctuary Excursion
On May 22nd 2026, MrKobi and 33 homeschooling children with their parents travelled by bus to Edgar's Mission in Lancefield for a day of learning and connection.
The sanctuary tour gave children the opportunity to meet a wide variety of rescued farm animals. We heard their stories and learnt about animal welfare along with the work involved in caring for animals. Throughout the day children asked questions, interacted with the animals and gained a firsthand understanding of the sanctuary's mission.
Following our visit to Edgar's we travelled to Kyneton Botanical Gardens where families had time to relax and enjoy lunch together.
All children were treated to afternoon tea thanks to the generous support of Woolworths Epsom. Their donation helped make the excursion even more enjoyable for our families and was greatly appreciated.
The excursion was a fantastic combination of education, community and hands-on learning. From meeting rescued animals to spending time together outdoors, the day provided plenty of opportunities for children and families to connect and create lasting memories.
