Art with Lyn from The Studio Handmade provides children with the opportunity to explore their creativity and develop new skills in a welcoming and supportive environment.
June Art sessions with Lyn from “The Studio Handmade” ($15 per session)
Dates: 3rd & 17th - 10.30am - 12pm
Location: Honeysuckle St, Bendigo.
A calm, creative space where young people can create and explore their ideas.
Session 1 & 2 – Creative Printing & Nature Art
In this hands-on creative session children will explore printing using a wide range of materials with a focus on recycled items and objects from nature.
Children will experiment with colours, textures, layering techniques and creative mark-making to create their own unique artworks to take home.
We’ll also share simple project ideas and inspiration so families can continue creating at home using everyday materials and tools from around the house.
July Art sessions with Lyn from “The Studio Handmade” ($15 per session)
Dates: 1st & 15th - 10.30am - 12pm
Location: Honeysuckle St, Bendigo.
A calm, creative space where young people can create and explore their ideas.
Session 1
A hands-on experience where children will create a small animal sculpture of their choice using clay. Lyn will guide them through simple techniques to support their success, while encouraging creativity and imagination to design a unique piece.
The sculptures will be dried and fired, ready for the next session.
Session 2
In this session, we’ll explore colour and decoration using underglazes to bring each creature to life. The pieces will then be fired again and will be ready for collection approximately two weeks after this session.
If time permits, Lyn will also provide small canvases and paints to introduce simple painting techniques that use minimal tools, perfect for continuing at home.
